ESMS Community Monthly Lunch

These regular monthly lunches in conjunction with the SMC FP Club are open to all in the ESMS Community and are a great way to catch up with friends in a relaxed environment. Lunch will be soup and a meat or fish main for £19 per head with three courses available for £21 per head.

Erskine Stewart Melville London Club Annual Dinner

The Erskine Stewart Melville London Club Annual Dinner will be held on Friday 14 March at the Caledonian Club, at 6:45pm for 7:30pm.  All former pupils and their guests are welcome to attend, as well as families of current pupils living in London.

The guest speaker will be Stewart’s FP Major General Mungo Melvin CB OBE MA FInstRE who had a varied and rewarding military career seeing active service in Northern Ireland, the Balkans and the Middle East. Since retirement he has undertaken a number of advisory roles and worked as a military historian with several published books and is a Senior Associate Fellow of the Royal United Services Institute. Mungo gave a fascinating talk to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Stewart’s Melville merger and we are looking forward to hearing him speak on the subject of “Firm Foundations”.

Our Principal, Anthony Simpson will be attending, and will speak as will School Captains, Rosie Deakin of MES and Jamie Henshaw of SMC.

Tickets are priced at £100 (£50 for those under the age of 30) and Black Tie / Highland Dress is actively encouraged, but a lounge suit is a perfectly acceptable alternative.

ESMS Community Coffee Morning

Alumni, former staff and friends from across our community are welcome to join us for a free cuppa and pastry and a walk down memory lane.  Dr Jon Cooper, our Heritage Officer, will bring along various items from the archives but please do let us know if there is anything in particular you would like to see.

SMC Summer Social
